About
What’s up with this blog?
Here’s my place to show off (and hopefully develop) my limited abilities as a photographer. I am going to try (as of March 2010) to do what I’ve heard recommended as a way to develop one’s photography skills – take at least one picture every day.
(To start it off, I may post some of my better ‘creative’ efforts from the past.)
Please feel free to comment on the pics. If you know a little about photography, I welcome your constructive criticism (or praise). If you don’t know much about photography, but you know what you like (or don’t like) when you see it, that’s fair and useful too!
(Update: On Day 1, I discovered that this is a humbling experience. You HAVE to post a pic, even if all you have is CRAP. Good incentive though.)
Hope you enjoy.
A note about the camera(s)
In September 2009, I bought a Canon PowerShot SX10. This is a digital point & shoot with a nice zoom capability of 20x.
Prior to that, I had a Canon PowerShot A75. That was a great little camera, but it gave up the ghost after 4 or 5 years.
So … you can assume that all of the current pics here are taken with the SX10. I may post an occasional photo that I took prior to September 1 2009, and that would have been taken with the A75.
